The real skill is translating between rooms
Executives, engineers, designers, and users describe the same product in four incompatible languages.
An executive describes a product in outcomes, an engineer in constraints, a designer in behaviour, a user in frustration. Each account is accurate and none is sufficient.
The analyst's job is to hold all four simultaneously and produce a single version of the truth that survives every room without being diluted in any of them.
Practically
I write the same decision three ways: one line for leadership, acceptance criteria for engineering, a flow for design. Same decision, no drift.
When those three artefacts disagree, the decision was never actually made.
Working on something like this?
I partner with founders and teams on discovery, requirements and delivery.
